CYCLOHEXANE (25012-93-5, 110-82-7, 68411-76-7, 68512-15-2, 68609-05-2)
Cyclohexane is a cycloalkane with the molecular formula C6H12 (the alkyl is abbreviated Cy). Cyclohexane is mainly used for the industrial production of adipic acid and caprolactam, which are precursors to nylon. Cyclohexane is a colourless, flammable liquid with a distinctive detergent-like odor, reminiscent of cleaning products (in which it is sometimes used).
HEXANE (110-54-3, 68476-44-8, 92112-69-1)
n-hexane  ·  n-hexane, 3-(13)C-labeled cpd  ·  n-hexane, 2-(13)C-labeled cpd
Hexane is an alkane of six carbon atoms, with the chemical formula C6H14. The term may refer to any of the five structural isomers with that formula, or to a mixture of them. In IUPAC nomenclature, however, hexane is the unbranched isomer (n-hexane); the other four isomers are named as methylated derivatives of pentane and butane.
HEPTANE (142-82-5)
n-heptane  ·  n-heptane, ion (1+)
n-Heptane is the straight-chain alkane with the chemical formula H3C(CH2)5CH3 or C7H16. When used as a test fuel component in anti-knock test engines, a 100% heptane fuel is the zero point of the octane rating scale (the 100 point is a 100% iso-octane). Octane number equates to the anti-knock qualities of a comparison mixture of heptane and isooctane which is expressed as the percentage of isooctane in heptane and is listed on pumps for gasoline (petrol) dispensed globally.
PENTANE (87741-01-3, 102056-77-9, 109-66-0, 68476-43-7, 68647-60-9, 68476-55-1)
n-pentane
Pentane is an organic compound with the formula C5H12—that is, an alkane with five carbon atoms. The term may refer to any of three structural isomers, or to a mixture of them: in the IUPAC nomenclature, however, pentane means exclusively the n-pentane isomer; the other two are called isopentane (methylbutane) and neopentane (dimethylpropane). Cyclopentane is not an isomer of pentane because it has only 10 hydrogen atoms where pentane has 12.
DODECANE (93924-07-3, 112-40-3, 93685-81-5)
n-dodecane
Dodecane (also known as dihexyl, bihexyl, adakane 12 or duodecane) is a liquid alkane hydrocarbon with the chemical formula CH3(CH2)10CH3 (or C12H26), an oily liquid of the paraffin series. It has 355 isomers. It is used as a solvent, distillation chaser, and scintillator component.
Tridecane (629-50-5)
n-tridecane
Tridecane is any alkane hydrocarbon with the chemical formula C 13H 28, or to a mixture of them. There are 802 constitutional isomers with that formula. In the IUPAC nomenclature, the name refers exclusively to one isomer, the straight-chain CH3(CH2)11CH3, also called normal or n-tridecane; the other isomers are named as derivatives of lighter hydrocarbons, as in 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-3-t-butyl-pentane.
CYCLOHEPTANE (291-64-5)
Cycloheptane is a cycloalkane with the molecular formula C7H14. Cycloheptane is used as a nonpolar solvent for the chemical industry and as an intermediate in the manufacture of chemicals and pharmaceutical drugs. It may be derived by Clemmensen reduction from cycloheptanone.
CYCLOOCTANE (292-64-8)
Cyclooctane is a cycloalkane with the molecular formula (CH2)8. It is a simple colourless hydrocarbon, but it is often a reference compound for saturated eight-membered ring compounds in general.

Propane () is a three-carbon alkane with the molecular formula C3H8. It is a gas at standard temperature and pressure, but compressible to a transportable liquid. A by-product of natural gas processing and petroleum refining, it is commonly used as a fuel for barbecue grills.
Tetradecane (90622-46-1, 74664-93-0, 629-59-4)
n-tetradecane
Tetradecane is an alkane hydrocarbon with the chemical formula CH3(CH2)12CH3. Tetradecane has 1858 structural isomers.
