Freon 113 · CFC 113 · 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane
Trichlorotrifluoroethane, also called 1,1,2-Trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane or CFC-113 is a chlorofluorocarbon. It has the formula Cl2FC-CClF2. This colorless gas is a versatile solvent.
Vinyl fluoride is an organic halide with the chemical formula C2H3F. It is a colorless gas with a faint etherlike odor. It is used as the monomeric precursor to the fluoropolymer polyvinylfluoride.
CHLOROTRIFLUOROETHYLENE (79-38-9, 9002-83-9)
trifluorochloroethylene · 1,1,2-trifluoro-2-chloroethene · chlorotrifluoroethene
Chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE) is a chlorofluorocarbon with chemical formula CF2CClF. It is commonly used as a refrigerant in cryogenic applications. CTFE has a carbon-carbon double bond and so can be polymerized to form polychlorotrifluoroethylene or copolymerized to produce the plastic ECTFE.
Halon 1211 · Halon-1211
Bromochlorodifluoromethane, also known by the trade name Halon 1211, or BCF, or Halon 1211 BCF, or Freon 12B1, is a haloalkane with the chemical formula CF2ClBr. Brominated haloalkanes were first used during World War II as fire extinguisher for aircraft and tanks. Bromochlorodifluoromethane was introduced as an effective gaseous fire suppression agent in the mid 1960s for use around highly valuable materials in places such as museums, mainframe rooms and telecommunication switching centers.
Dibromodifluoromethane is a mixed halomethane. It is a colorless non-flammable liquid. Along with Halons 1211, 2402, and 1301, it is the most effective fire extinguishers, however, also the most toxic one.
Bromofluoromethane (373-52-4, 4539-11-1)
Bromofluoromethane is a mixed gaseous halomethane soluble in alcohol and very soluble in chloroform. Its standard molar entropy, Sogas is 276.3 J/(mol K) and heat capacity, cp is 49.2 J/(mol K).
Dibromofluoromethane is a mixed halomethane. It is soluble in alcohol, acetone, benzene and chloroform.
Bromodifluoromethane or Halon 1201 or FC-22B1 is a gaseous trihalomethane or a hydrobromofluorocarbon.
Tribromofluoromethane or Halon 1103 or R 11B3 is a fully halogenated mixed halomethane or more exactly a bromofluorocarbon (BFC). It is a colorless liquid. Tribromofluoromethane can be used in fire extinguishers.
