Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (1763-23-1)
perfluorooctane sulfonate  ·  perfluorooctane sulphonic acid  ·  Perfluorooctanesulfonate
Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (conjugate base perfluorooctanesulfonate) (PFOS) is an anthropogenic fluorosurfactant and global pollutant. PFOS was the key ingredient in Scotchgard, a fabric protector made by 3M, and numerous stain repellents. It was added to Annex B of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in May 2009.
Taurine (107-35-7)
Taurine, Monopotassium Salt  ·  Taufon  ·  Taurine Hydrochloride
Taurine (), or 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, is an organic compound that is widely distributed in animal tissues. It is a major constituent of bile and can be found in the large intestine, and accounts for up to 0.1% of total human body weight. Taurine has many fundamental biological roles, such as conjugation of bile acids, antioxidation, osmoregulation, membrane stabilization, and modulation of calcium signaling.
375-73-5 (375-73-5)
perfluorobutanesulfonic acid  ·  potassium perfluorobutanesulfonate
Perfluorobutanesulfonic acid (PFBS) is a chemical compound with a four carbon fluorocarbon chain and a sulfonic acid functional group. As an anion it functions as a stable fluorosurfactant because of the strength of carbon–fluorine bonds. Since June 2003, 3M has used PFBS as a replacement for the persistent, toxic, and bioaccumulative perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) in its Scotchgard stain repellents.3M markets surfactant with PFBS in two fluorosurfactants.
METHANESULFONIC ACID (22515-76-0, 75-75-2)
methanesulfonate  ·  methylsulfonate  ·  potassium methanesulfonate
Methanesulfonic acid (MsOH) is a colorless liquid with the chemical formula CH3SO3H. It is the simplest of the alkylsulfonic acids. Salts and esters of methanesulfonic acid are known as mesylates (or methanesulfonates, as in ethyl methanesulfonate).
Tobias acid (81-16-3)
2-naphthylamine-1-sulfonic acid, monoammonium salt  ·  2-naphthylamine-1-sulfonic acid
Tobias acid ('2-amino-1-naphthalenesulfonic acid) is an organic compound with the formula C10H6(SO3H)(NH2). It is one of several aminonaphthalenesulfonic acids, which are derivatives of naphthalene containing both amine and sulfonic acid functional groups. It is a white solid, although commercial samples can appear otherwise.
CEFONICID (61270-58-4)
Cefonicide (or cefonicid) is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It has a density of 1.92g/cm3.
4432-31-9 (4432-31-9)
MES compound  ·  4-morpholineethanesulfonate  ·  2-(N-morpholino)ethanesulfonic acid
2-Morpholinoethanesulfonic acid (4432-31-9)
MES is the common name for the compound 2-(N-morpholino)ethanesulfonic acid. Its chemical structure contains a morpholine ring. It has a molecular weight of 195.2 and the chemical formula is C6H13NO4S.
Taurochenodeoxycholic acid is a bile acid formed in the liver of most species, including humans, by conjugation of chenodeoxycholic acid with taurine. It is secreted into bile and then into intestine. It is usually ionized at physiologic pH, although it can be crystallized as the sodium salt.
Ecamsule (92761-26-7)
Ecamsule (USAN, trade name Mexoryl SX, INCI terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid) is an organic compound which is added to many sunscreens to filter out UVA rays. It is a benzylidene camphor derivative, many of which are known for their excellent photostability. Although there are a few different UV absorbers with the trade name Mexoryl, only two of them are widely used where approved.
Trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (1493-13-6)
trifluoromethanesulfonate  ·  triflic acid  ·  silver triflate
Triflic acid, also known as trifluoromethanesulfonic acid, TFMS, TFSA, HOTf or TfOH, is a sulfonic acid with the chemical formula CF3SO3H. It is one of the strongest acids. Triflic acid is mainly used in research as a catalyst for esterification.
N-Cyclohexyltaurine (103-47-9)
CHES  ·  2-(N-cyclohexylamino)ethanesulfonic acid  ·  2-(N-cyclohexylamino)ethanesulfonic acid, monosodium salt
N-Cyclohexyl-2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, also known as CHES, is a buffering agent. Typically appears as a white crystalline powder. CHES buffers have a useful range of pH 8.6–10.
ISETHIONIC ACID (107-36-8)
Sodium Isethionate  ·  Isethionic Acid Monopotassium Salt  ·  Isethionic Acid Monosodium Salt
Isethionic acid is an organosulfur compound containing a alkylsulfonic acid located beta to a hydroxy group. Its discovery is generally attributed to Heinrich Gustav Magnus, who prepared it by the action of solid sulphur trioxide on ethanol in 1833. It is a white water-soluble solid used in the manufacture of certain surfactants and in the industrial production of taurine.
Acamprosate calcium (77337-73-6)
AOTA  ·  acamprosate  ·  Campral
Acamprosate, sold under the brand name Campral, is a medication used along with counselling to treat alcohol dependence. Acamprosate is thought to stabilize chemical signaling in the brain that would otherwise be disrupted by alcohol withdrawal. When used alone, acamprosate is not an effective therapy for alcoholism in most individuals; however, studies have found that acamprosate works best when used in combination with psychosocial support since it facilitates a reduction in alcohol consumption as well as full abstinence.
