Some of these conditions include adrenocortical insufficiency, high blood calcium, rheumatoid arthritis, dermatitis, eye inflammation, asthma, and multiple sclerosis. It is used by mouth, injection into a vein, as a skin cream, and as eye drops.
FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE (80474-14-2)
Fluticasone propionate belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids, specifically glucocorticoids, which are hormones that predominantly affect the metabolism of carbohydrates and, to a lesser extent, fat and protein. It is used to treat asthma, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, various skin disorders and Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It is also used to treat eosinophilic esophagitis.
CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE (25122-46-7)
Clobetasol · Temovate · Dermovate
Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid of the glucocorticoid class used to treat various skin disorders including eczema and psoriasis. It is also highly effective for contact dermatitis caused by exposure to poison ivy/oak. Clobetasol belongs to US Class I (Europe: class IV) of the corticosteroids, making it one of the most potent available.
BECLOMETHASONE DIPROPIONATE (5534-09-8)
Beclomethasone · Vanceril · Beconase
Beclometasone dipropionate, also spelled beclomethasone dipropionate and sold under the brand name Qvar among others, is a steroid medication. It is available as an inhaler, cream, pills, and nasal spray. The inhaled form is used in the long-term management of asthma.
Zamene · Dezacor · Calcort
Deflazacort (trade name Emflaza or Calcort among others) is a glucocorticoid used as an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant.
Aldosterone, (+-)-Isomer · Aldosterone, (11 beta,17 alpha)-Isomer
Aldosterone, the main mineralocorticoid hormone, is a steroid hormone produced by the zona glomerulosa of the adrenal cortex in the adrenal gland. It is essential for sodium conservation in the kidney, salivary glands, sweat glands and colon. It plays a central role in the homeostatic regulation of blood pressure, plasma sodium (Na+), and potassium (K+) levels.
estrone (19973-76-3, 53-16-7)
Folliculin · Kestrone · Wehgen
Estrone (E1), also spelled oestrone, is a steroid, a weak estrogen, and a minor female sex hormone. It is one of three major endogenous estrogens, the others being estradiol and estriol. Estrone, as well as the other estrogens, are synthesized from cholesterol and secreted mainly from the gonads, though they can also be formed from adrenal androgens in adipose tissue.
Aldactone · Spirolactone · NovoSpiroton
Spironolactone, sold under the brand name Aldactone among others, is a medication that is primarily used to treat fluid build-up due to heart failure, liver scarring, or kidney disease. It is also used in the treatment of high blood pressure, low blood potassium that does not improve with supplementation, early puberty in boys, acne and excessive hair growth in women, and as a part of feminizing hormone therapy in transgender women. Spironolactone is taken by mouth.
Chlorothiazide sodium (Diuril) is an organic compound used as a diuretic and as an antihypertensive. It is used both within the hospital setting or for personal use to manage excess fluid associated with congestive heart failure. Most often taken in pill form, it is usually taken orally once or twice a day.
Eulexin · Euflex · SCH 13521
Flutamide, sold under the brand name Eulexin among others, is a nonsteroidal antiandrogen (NSAA) which is used primarily to treat prostate cancer. It is also used in the treatment of androgen-dependent conditions like acne, excessive hair growth, and high androgen levels in women. It is taken by mouth, usually three times per day.
Cytadren · Ciba Vision Brand of Aminoglutethimide · Orimeten
Aminoglutethimide is an anti-steroid drug marketed under the tradename Cytadren by Novartis around the world. It blocks the production of steroids derived from cholesterol and is clinically used in the treatment of Cushing's syndrome and metastatic breast cancer. It is also used by bodybuilders.
Tetrahydrocortisone, or urocortisone, is a steroid and an inactive metabolite of cortisone.

estrone sulfate · Evex · oestrone sulphate
Estrone sulfate (481-97-0, 7280-37-7)
Evex · oestrone sulphate · sodium estrone sulfate
Estrone sulfate (E1S), or 17β-estrone 3-sulfate, is a natural, endogenous steroid and an estrogen ester and conjugate. It is a component of conjugated estrogens (Premarin) and esterified estrogens, and is also used as estropipate (piperazine estrone sulfate). E1S itself is biologically inactive, with less than 1% of the relative binding affinity of estradiol for the ERα and ERβ, but it can be converted by steroid sulfatase (also called estrogen sulfatase) into estrone, which is an estrogen.
DHEA · Dehydroisoandrosterone · Androstenolone
Prasterone, also known as dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), is a naturally occurring steroid which is used as a supplement and medication. It is an androstane derivative and a precursor of steroid hormones like testosterone and estradiol. Prasterone has weak androgenic activity, weak estrogenic activity, and neurosteroid activity, and acts as a prohormone of androgens and estrogens depending on its dosage and route of administration.
