It plays a central role in the homeostatic regulation of blood pressure, plasma sodium (Na+), and potassium (K+) levels.

Acacetin is an O-methylated flavone found in Robinia pseudoacacia (black locust), Turnera diffusa (damiana), Betula pendula (silver birch), and in the fern Asplenium normale. The enzyme apigenin 4'-O-methyltransferase uses S-adenosyl methionine and 5,7,4'-trihydroxyflavone (apigenin) to produce S-adenosylhomocysteine and 4'-methoxy-5,7-dihydroxyflavone (acacetin).
alpha-Naphthoflavone (604-59-1)  
alpha-Naphthoflavone, also known as 7,8-benzoflavone and 2-phenyl-benzo(h)chromen-4-one, is a synthetic flavone derivative. It can be prepared from 2-naphthol and cinnamaldehyde. alpha-Naphthoflavone is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme aromatase, the enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen.
